We would like you to know that we have saved a seat for you at Upper Praise Ministries. We are glad that you have decided to visit our website. Our desire is that people of all ages and cultures would feel apart of this Apostolic Ministry. We have found that following God is the most rewarding life you could ever experience. Upper Praise Ministries has a mandate to encourage salvation, spiritual growth, and soundness of doctrine while empowering people to flow in their God given gifts and talents. Upper Praise MinistriesWhat should I expect in a service?
You will be greeted by a friendly greeter who will help you find a seat and hand you a Connection Card. Please fill the Connection Card out at any point during the service. You will soon discover that our main desire is for you to experience the life-changing presence of Jesus Christ in an anointed atmosphere of Worship. Pastor McIver, will lead you through practical, timeless truths with humor and sincerity.
Why should I fill out the Connection Card?
The Connection Card is a great way for us to get to know you. We would be grateful to have a record of your visit. There is a space on the Connection Card for you to write down a prayer request. We have a prayer team that will pray over your request throughout the week. You can fill out the Connection Card anytime during the service and return it to an Usher.
What should I wear?
We’re more concerned with meeting your real life needs than with what you wear, so dress how you feel comfortable and you’ll fit right in.
Where should I park?
Upper Praise Ministries has plenty of parking for you. We want to ensure that you easily find a spot to park each week.

S.H.O.W.E.R. is a “reach out” ministry of Upper Praise. Instead of “out-reaching” the people of our community with deep bible terms, tracks, and religious formalities we have simply chosen to “reach-out.” Showing How Our Worship Enters Reality in the lives of others. As they say, “its nice to be important, but more important to be nice” and “people don’t care about what you know until they know that you care.” We choose to be nice and let you know that we care by offering our services to our community in the form of yard maintenance, and other small jobs around your home or business. Get Involved
Upper Praise MinistriesVolunteer
Statistics show that if a person starts attending church but doesn’t get involved or plugged in, they will stop attending within one year. Don’t be a statistic, jump in, get involved somewhere – “Whatsoever your hands find to do, do it with thy might…” There is always work to be done around the church, and you may be the one to help!
Nursery/Preschool (birth – pre –K) – Love kids? Love God? Then, come join us as we teach preschoolers to DISCOVER God’s Love and God’s Word through worship, creative small group lessons and an interactive large group experience. There are weekend opportunities for everyone, so we hope to work alongside you soon for the glory of God!
Kids (K-5th) – At Upper Praise, kids experience creative bible lessons, learn how to worship through song and prayer and even begin building quality friendships with other kids and adult leaders.
Worship/Praise – Every weekend we have service with a full set of worship music, if you can play an instrument or sing and would love to use that gift here at Upper Praise, feel free to visit us.
Evangelism – The message we send out into the community through, preaching, teaching, outreach, and many other things is vital to reaching people that haven’t heard of Jesus.
Creative Arts – Creative arts is involved in almost everything you see here at Upper Praise, from the weekend bulletin, to the website you’re reading right now.
Guest Services – Connection is vital to your spiritual growth and to the health of a church. In Acts 2 we read how the first church had everything in common and shared everything. They enjoyed the favor of all people. They were connected. So how do you get connected? There are many ways, but one of the easiest first steps would be to plug into a Guest Services team. There are several of these teams serving in different areas on the weekends. Door greeters, parking, and ushers.
Why Membership?
Upper Praise MinistriesYou might wonder, “What is the point of membership? … If I sincerely profess faith in Jesus Christ, why is anything else necessary? Isn’t it enough just to attend Upper Praise without actually becoming a member?”
Here are some of the reasons why we feel membership is important as followers of Jesus. It says: I have made a choice, I will support and help, I am part of this body, and this is where i will worship.
*We should keep on encouraging each other to be thoughtful and to do helpful things. Some people have gotten out of the habit of meeting for worship, but we must not do that. We should keep on encouraging each other, especially since you know that the day of the Lord’s coming is getting closer. (Hebrews 10:24-25 cev)
*They spent their time learning from the apostles, and they were like family to each other. They also broke bread and prayed together. Everyone was amazed by the many miracles and wonders that the apostles worked. All the Lord’s followers often met together, and they shared everything they had… Day after day they met together in the temple. They broke bread together in different homes and shared their food happily and freely, while praising God. Everyone liked them, and each day the Lord added to their group others who were being saved. (Acts 2:42-47cev)
Having experienced the grace and forgiveness of Jesus Christ, we desire to make a difference. Life is a wonderful gift from God and we want to live it redemptively, using our gifts, talents, passions, and abilities in service to others. In other words, we want people to know and experience the depths of Jesus’ love for them. Membership with Upper Praise Ministries helps us to make a real difference…together. As one body we participate in one mission, a mission to which we’ve all been called to give our lives to. Membership is our way of saying, “Count me in. I’m no longer satisfied being a spectator; I want to get in the game. I’m not just a ‘church shopper,’ checking you out; I’m ready to make a contribution. I want to partner with Upper Praise Ministries to support the vision.
